William Lloyd Etheredge Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist incoming freshmen with a music industry major on the Troy, Alabama campus of Troy University. Preference will be given to students studying piano or trumpet, but if none are eligible then other instruments will be considered. The recipient must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8. Recipients must submit a 500 word essay on “Why Music is Important to me and the role it plays in my life.” Recipients will be selected by the Troy University Scholarship Committee, the chair of Music Department and a family representative. Recipients are required to write a thank you letter to the donor and must attend the scholarship donor and recipient reception held each March.
