The Alabama RIMS Scholarship

The Alabama RIMS scholarship will be awarded based off of the following criteria:
• Recipients must have and maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.5. Recipients not meeting this requirement are subject to lose their scholarship.
• Recipients will be selected by the Risk Management and Insurance Department.
• Applicants should at least be in their sophomore year at TROY.
• Applicants will be required to submit a resume and a short essay, 500 words max, explaining why they are deserving of the award.
• Scholarships will be awarded for the academic year beginning in Fall 2023 and will be for one year only.
• Recipients will be required to write a letter of appreciation to the scholarship donor and will be encouraged to attend the Scholarship Donor and Recipient Reception.
• The number and amount of scholarships to be awarded shall be determined by the number of applications received and by the scholarship committee.
• In cases where it is determined that the recipient is ineligible for continuation of the scholarship, a replacement may be named, with the selection procedure the same as for the original recipient.
