Joe & Mary Cromeans Charitable Foundation Annual Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students on the Troy University campus in Troy, AL who are pursuing a degree in the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Communication and Fine Arts, or the College of Health and Human Services. Recipients must be entering their Junior or Senior year. Recipients must be enrolled in either a medical field of study or a fine arts field of study. Students enrolled in a medical field should be in either College of Arts and Sciences or the College of Health and Human Services seeking a degree in either Biomedical Sciences (Pre-Med), Exercise Science, or Nursing. Students enrolled in a fine arts field should be in the College of Communication and Fine Arts seeking a degree in either Department of Art and Design, John M. Long School of Music, or the Department of Theatre and Dance. Recipient must have and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25. Selection will be made by the Troy University Scholarship Committee with possible suggestions from the Dean, Department Chair or a Faculty member. Six students from both fields of study will be selected annually and will receive $2,500.00 each. The twelve recipients will be known as the “Cromeans Scholars”. Recipients are required to write a thank you letter to the donor and must attend the scholarship donor and recipient reception held each March.
