Dacre Green Davis Endowed Scholarship

The Dacre Green Davis Memorial Scholarship in Environmental Science was endowed in his memory through memorial gifts from friends and family. Mr. Davis was a native of Troy, Alabama and a career marine. A highly decorated combat veteran of the Vietnam conflict, Mr. Davis, on retiring from the Marine Corps, served his city as Director of the Public Works Department. He was recognized nationally for his contributions in the area of environmental quality. This scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement and commitment to a career in an environmental field to students in the Environmental Science program at Troy University. Recipients of this scholarship must be majoring in Environmental Science, have a 2.0 GPA, pursuing a career in environmental science, (preferably in the State of Alabama), and agree to a work requirement at the Center for Environmental Research and Service consistent with the monetary value of the award.
