Patsy Brown Accounting Scholarship
Patsy Brown served the students of Troy University’s William H. Carr School of Accountancy for twenty years before her retirement. In honor of the long-time staff member, the Patsy Brown Accounting Scholarship was established in 2013 to assist full-time undergraduate students who have declared a major in accounting. To be eligible for this award, students must have achieved at least a 2.5 GPA on all college coursework, attended classes on TROY’s main campus in Troy, Alabama, and attended TROY for at least two semesters before applying. Applicants are required to submit a resume, a list of their civic activities, and three letters of recommendation. Troy University Accounting Faculty members select recipients and present the scholarship at the annual Accountancy Day program. Recipients must write a letter of appreciation to the donor and attend the annual Scholarship Donor and Recipient Reception.
