Lester Nichols Endowed Scholarship

Lester J. Nichols received his bachelor’s in 1974 and his masters in 1990, both from Troy University. After graduating from Troy, Coach Nichols had a successful career coaching and teaching at Daleville City and Dale County High Schools. The Lester Nichols Endowed Scholarship was established in his memory by family members in 2016 to continue Coach Nichols’ legacy of education. This scholarship is awarded to students from Dale County, with preference given to Daleville High School graduates. Recipients must have a GPA of at least 3.0 and show proof of financial need.
