Gary Health Criminal Justice Scholarship

Gary Heath was a police officer in Greenville, Alabama, when he was killed in the line of duty in 1994. That same year, Gary’s father, Joe Heath, established the Gary Heath Criminal Justice Scholarship in his son’s memory. This scholarship is awarded to junior or senior students majoring in criminal justice. Recipients must have financial need and maintain a 2.5 GPA. The Troy University Scholarship Committee selects recipients. Recipients must write a letter of appreciation to the donor and attend the annual Scholarship Donor and Recipient Reception.
