Selena Hughes Memorial Scholarship

Selena Hughes was a beloved member of her community, known for her caring heart and generous spirit. As an avid supporter of the Troy Trojans, she spent every gameday cheering on her favorite team. After Selena’s sudden passing in October of 2024, her friends and family came together to establish the Selena Hughes Memorial Scholarship, to honor the life of their beloved friend in a way that she would have approved. Selena’s scholarship is awarded to fifth-semester nursing students pursuing their degree on Troy University’s main campus. One $1,000.00 scholarship is awarded annually to recipients who must have and maintain a 2.5 GPA. Recipients must write a letter of appreciation to the donor and are encouraged to attend the annual Scholarship Donor and Recipient Reception.
