The Mark and Wendy Riva Endowed Scholarship

The Mark and Wendy Riva Endowed Scholarship was established in 2022 by Mark and Wendy in memory of Diane Riva, a dedicated educator and mother. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students from Sarasota County, Florida, who are attending the Troy University Campus in Troy. First preference goes to Chemistry or Biology majors, and second preference goes to any science major. Preference is also given to students who have shown a need for financial support, as demonstrated by a FAFSA application. Recipients of this scholarship must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA. Applications must include a 300 to 500-word essay describing the student’s vision for how they will use their degree upon graduation. The Troy University Scholarship Committee selects recipients. Recipients must write a letter of appreciation to the donor and attend the Scholarship Donor and Recipient Reception.
