Athletic Training and Leadership Endowed

alumni, physicians, and friends of the program to honor two outstanding men that were pivotal in educating and honing hundreds of Athletic Trainers, John “Doc” Anderson, Jr., and Chuck Ash. Through the years, these astute Athletic Trainers provided meaningful educational experiences and quality healthcare to student-athletes at Troy University. The legacies of these men live on in the Athletic Trainers and student-athletes they impacted in their careers. This scholarship assists athletic training graduate students who are enrolled in the current cohort of the athletic training master’s program who have a 3.0 GPA and financial need. As part of the application process, students are required to submit a 500-word essay describing how the scholarship will help them achieve their goals. A committee of Athletic Training staff, Athletic training alumni, and the Troy University Scholarship Committee selects recipients. Recipients are required to write a thank you letter to the donor and must attend the scholarship donor and recipient reception.
