05 Foundation Current Scholarship

In September of 2024, Hurricane Helene swept through the Southeastern United States, causing catastrophic damage and significant flooding in numerous states, primarily North Carolina. In the wake of Helene, Michael and Donna Dewberry founded the 05 Foundation to give back to members of the performing arts community who were affected by the storm or who were facing financial hardships. In 2025, through their foundation, the Dewberry’s philanthropy reached TROY by establishing the 05 Foundation Current Scholarship to assist students majoring in the Performing Arts, such as Dance or Theatre. To qualify for this scholarship, students must be attending classes on Troy University’s main campus in Troy, have and maintain a 2.5 GPA, and be facing an emergency, hardship, or financial difficulty. The Troy University Scholarship Committee selects the recipient of a $3,000.00 scholarship. Recipients must write a letter of appreciation to the Donor and are encouraged to attend the annual Scholarship Donor and Recipient Reception.
